'Sparkle' is the follow up to the anthemic '12 Reasons Why I Love Her' (which reached No. 32). My Life Story have just finished recording their debut album for Parlophone (due for release early '97). They commence a 35 date UK tour on October 3, with a show at LA2 on October 19.

It follows the two top 40 singles '12 Reasons Why' and 'Sparkle'. The highly anticipated new album 'The Golden Mile' will be released on March 3. MLS play a special show on Valentines Day in London (at the ULU) before commencing a full UK tour in March.

The "E" in the catalogue number designates that this is the version that says "go to work on an 'e'". The second of two promos circulated for this release.

		You Can't Uneat The Apple Parlophone CDRDJ 6485 One track promo CD Slimline jewel case. This single was never officially released, as Parlophone insisted on releasing the "Duchess" cover instead. Promo sticker on reverse: Release date November 3. 'You Can't Uneat The Apple' is the new single from MLS. Taken from their 'Golden Mile' album, the single will be the bands fourth Top 40 hit this year. UK tour dates in November.
		Duchess Parlophone CDRDJ 6474 One track promo CD Single card sleeve, front marked "Promotional Single - Not For Sale, Just For Show". Promo sticker on reverse: Release date 4 August. 'Duchess' follows the hit 'Strumpet'. An interpretation of the Stranglers '79 hit, My Life Story recorded it for EMI's centenary charity album 'Come Again'. Dates include: Gay Pride Brixton 5 July / Phoenix 20 July, Guildford 2 August.
		Sound As A Pound Parlophone Sampler 7243 8 59868 2 6 Motorcade 14 track 'A Flavour of the Parlophone Label" sampler. MLS rerecorded "Motorcade" for this album. Other artists featured on this CD: Blur, Radiohead, Supergrass, Foo Fighters, Mansun, The Supernaturals, Cecil, Ether, Strangelove, Grass-Show, The Sundays, Bentley Rhythm Ace and Spearhead.
		It's A Girl Thing IT Records ITR DJ001 One track promo CD Slimline jewel case, front marked "Promotional Single - Not For Resale". Same cover as the commercial release. Promo sticker on reverse: A well-known band that has shed 3/4 of its members might seem a dubious proposition but in the case of My Life Story, the remaining 4 piece outfit is the crucial core. Leaner (the Orchestra of twelve are sidelined) and meaner (a more feisty,direct sound), the Story have recorded their third album with producer Pete Gleadhill (Mansun, George Michael) for newly formed IT Records headed by ex-EMI veteran Tris Penna and distrubuted by Vital.
	'It's a Girl Thing' is the excellent first single from the yet-untitled LP and should easily find its way onto radio and into the charts as their previous 5 top forty singles have done. Jake Shillingford and co hit the road in May to convince fans and fence sitters alike.

Promo sticker on reverse: If there is one thing My Life Story do well, it's produce radio-friendly records. Fortunately it's not only one thing - they sell records (six Top 40 Hits), they sell out shows (and what amazing shows) and they write thoughtful pop songs.
	In short they are a band to keep and be enjoyed. 'Empire Line' is dedicated to the first supermodel, Gia Carangi, a tale of clothes, catwalks and curves. This release shows Jake & Co at their finest - hooky sing-a-long pop with lush strings and poignant lyrics. Do not fail to see them perform at London Scala 6 October and Manchester Hop & Grape 15 October.
		Why Aren't You Dead Yet? One track promo CD This is the track that was originally released as an internet-only CD. The track was only available to download from the official MLS site, and it was free as a thank-you to fans along with "A History of the World on Ice". This is a fully printed CD-R (sometimes called acetate) single, produced by 10th Planet, Audio Post Production and Duplication Services.
